CAP Security Services to keep Queensland Country Bank Stadium safe and secure

December 16, 2019

CAP Security Services has been confirmed as the official security provider for the Queensland Country Bank Stadium team in Townsville.

The company will provide security for events and functions as well as traffic control and asset protection at the new venue, including patron entry, crowd control, and monitoring for suspicious behaviour.

CAP Security Services Managing Director Dale Hall said the organisation was pleased to continue a strong presence in North Queensland.

“On a standard event day, CAP Security Services employed 80 staff at 1300SMILES Stadium who will retain their positions thanks to this agreement, which is a great outcome for all involved,” Mr Hall said.

“We employ more than 150 fully trained, qualified security professionals within the organisation locally, who have serviced the community since 2014, at the stadium and at the Townsville Entertainment and Convention Centre, Townsville RSL and ALH Group,” he said.

“We are really looking forward to the new stadium and can’t wait to be part of some of the exciting new events in store,” he said.

CAP Security Services’ employee Ora Mihaere said she was looking forward to working at the new venue.

“I’ve worked for CAP Security for more than a year now, and I always look forward to working the Cowboys games and other events at the stadium, because of the fantastic atmosphere those events bring to the town,” Ms Mihaere said.

“It’s been great to watch the stadium’s construction from afar, and my team is really excited that we’ll get to be part of it next year,” she said.

Queensland Country Bank Stadium Venue Manager Glenn Arboit said the appointment of CAP Security Services was a pleasing result for the stadium.

“As the security provider at 1300SMILES Stadium since 2014, CAP Security has a proven track record for carrying out services to the highest standard and treating our patrons with courtesy and respect,” Mr Arboit said.

“CAP Security’s corporate expertise is underpinned by its servicing of other major stadia and entertainment venues throughout Queensland, including Suncorp Stadium and The Gabba.

“CAP Security has demonstrated a commitment to train and employ locals, and we’re really pleased to continue our relationship with them.”

Special Mention

With the announcement that CAP Security Services has been awarded the new North Queensland Stadium in Townsville, we would like to give special mention to our manager in North Queensland, Hayley Morgan, who has for the past 6 years overseen the security management of major events at 1300Smiles Stadium. We know CAP will continue to provide the same quality service to our clients with this new venture.

Congratulations Hayley
