Security Townsville

CAP Security Townsville has been gradually making inroads within the North Queensland market. We have already successfully secured two major events in Townsville in 2015, the NAB Cup (AFL) on Sunday, 01 March at Tony Ireland Stadium and Groovin the Moo Festival on Sunday, 10 May at the Murray Sport Complex. In addition to this, we have beenCAP Security Townsville - Stadium confirmed as the exclusive security provider for a prestigious event and function venue, the Townsville Entertainment & Convention Centre.

The NAB Cup is an annual AFL fixture bringing major AFL teams to regional Australia. This year, Tony Ireland will be hosting the Gold Coast Suns and the Geelong Cats. It is expected to be a sell-out event. As the sole provider, CAP Security Townsville is expected to supply all gate staff, bar staff, field security, traffic controllers and rovers. This will no doubt be an exciting game to attend and busy event to run.

The Groovin the Moo is an annual music festival that takes the “scenic route”, avoiding the major cities and touring regional centres of Oakbank, Bunbury, Bendigo, Maitland, Townsville and the Nation’s capital, Canberra. It features a variety of electronic, rock, pop and hip hop performances. CAP Security Townsville will be looking after all aspects of this festival from backstage to the barriers, including gates, perimeters, bars and roving security. We are expecting to supply around 120 staff to the event, making this the largest event serviced by CAP Security Services in the Townsville area, to date.

CAP Security Townsville - Entertainment CentreThe Townsville Entertainment & Convention Centre is a great event and function venue. It has hosted a number of concerts and events, including Keith Urban, Kenny Rogers Jimmy Barnes, Troy Dunn Rodeo Invitational, Disney’s Presents series and basketball competitions, to name a few. As well as being able to facilitate these big events, the venue also caters for smaller functions and conferences, making it a very versatile venue. Staffing requirements vary for each event and can range from 1 to 25 staff. CAP Security Townsville commenced servicing this venue on Friday, 6 February for the recent Kenny Rogers concert and we were extremely happy with how all aspects of the event carried out.

CAP Security Services is gradually getting our name out there more and more and are certainly cementing our place in the Townsville market, contributing to the local security industry. We are looking forward to servicing each of these unique events and venues, and are up for any challenge that may result.
